 FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OYE EKITI (FUOYE): USUAL LIES AND DECEIT OF PROFESSOR ABAYOMI FASINA

The report of the Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges meeting held on Wednesday 28th July,  2021 released  by Charlse Ainwon, Special Adviser (Media & Strategy) to Distinguished Senator Ayo Akinyelure, who is the Chairman of the Committee revealed how FUOYE Management lied shamelessly about the meeting even with the fact before them. Remember, this is not her first and might not be last if not checked.

The University Management is becoming known to the media as a source of unreliable and misleading information, who choose to live on lies, propaganda, and deceit. The Management hurriedly went to the media to dispel news of the outcome of the Senate Committee on Ethics meeting to deceive and manipulate the public deliberately even when the decision of Committee had been known to them.

It is reported that the Vice Chancellor, Abayomi Fasina known for his cunning acts has been avoiding invitations by the Senate Committee, not until the Committee went ahead to take a decision at her last meeting. The VC and Council Chairman had twice avoided appointments by the Committee while keeping away the notice of meeting/invitation from the University Governing Council Chairman. Investigation revealed that the Council Chairman is unaware of the last two invitations by the Senate Committee. Note that the  Management cited busy schedule of the Council as reason for not attending the meeting, this is muted to be false.

We further gathered that the Vice Chancellor invited some Union leaders to his resident late on Wednesday 28th July, 2021 to plot against the Senate Committee decision by creating unrest in the Institution. At the said meeting, he was quoted to have ordered the Union leaders to do everything possible to cause unrest or be exposed alongside him if he fails. Thus, should the sacked officers be reinstated or he is later arrested for his corrupt practices,  their evil collaborations will be revealed as he had been using the University funds on frivolities and corrupt practices with them, some of which he is currently being investigated. He was said to have offered money as usual to them to carryout the assignment. He even stated that he is ready to do away with some university money to pay all staff any amount as a tip to easy mobilization and gather support for the agenda. How long will this last before the long arm of the law reaches him?

The Vice Chancellor in his usual manner is said to be boasting that the Senate Committee has no jurisdiction in the University and also that he has the grip of the Council Chairman as well as other members which he is "servicing fine fine". He is also confident of using the special "holy harem hobnobber" in the Council to manoeuvre him.

How long will this matter linger is what we cannot answer? How far will the Vice Chancellor hide from being investigated???? Time will tell!!!
