No other evidence is required to prove Buhari has failed – CDHR Published on February 15, 2021 By Matthew Omonigho The Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, CDHR, has agreed with some Nigerian lawmakers that no other evidence is required to prove that the Nigerian State under President Muhammadu Buhari has not only failed woefully, but has displayed a combination of lacklustre performance characterized by incompetence and indifference. The CDHR stressed that the country under Buhari’s leadership cannot meet the fundamental purpose for which it was established to uphold the security and welfare of the Nigerian people. FG threatens to stop salaries of striking SSANU, NASU members Published on February 12, 2021 By Annie Nwosu The Federal Government has threatened to stop the salaries of Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities (NASU) over their recent indefinite strike action. The Minister of Labour and Employment, Sen Chris Ngige who made this known during a meeting with the unions said the federal government might be forced to invoke Section 43 of the Trade Dispute Act 2004 which permits it to stop the salaries of workers when they are on strike.
